Proposed report

My proposed topic for the long analytical report is the blending of families in a second marriage. I have chose this topic because this is something I feel will beneficial not only to me but family. I have two children from a previous marriage and so does my husband. I find it hard at times to allow my husband to correct my children. I get defensive on both sides and don't want any hurt feelings between them or my husband. On the other hand I find it hard to correct my step-children as well. With them only being with us everyother weekend I have a difficult time correcting them. This has improved over the past couple of years but still difficult at times. The blending of families includes more than disciplining. It involves making sure no one feels slighted. Taking your spouses feelings into consideration regarding her/his children. Making sure the children know they are not loved any less just because there is someone new in your life with other children. I know I have hurt my husband's feelings on more than one occassion without meaning to. I hope doing the research for this paper will help us both.
